🧵AMA Recap｜Moonlight × UXLINK CEO Rolland Our AMA title was “Why UXLINK May Be One of the Most Mispriced Mass-Adoption Infrastructures in Web3?” In every Web3 cycle, “Mass Adoption” becomes the loudest catchphrase.  But after hosting countless AMAs and speaking with teams across ecosystems, I’ve learned one thing: very few projects are actually solving the hardest part of adoption, bringing real Web2 users into Web3 and keeping them there through real relationships, real usage, and real value. That’s exactly why I invited Rolland, CEO of UXLINK, to this AMA.  Our goal was simple: cut through the hype and examine who is quietly building the long-term growth infrastructure of Web3. What followed was a conversation that reframed how I, and likely many listeners, should think about mass adoption. Mass adoption is already happening, but not in the way most people think. Rolland began by acknowledging that mass adoption is no longer theoretical.  We’ve already seen projects like Catizen, CYBER, and PARTI drive explosive user growth in their respective domains, gaming, decentralized identity, and AI content.  Each of them is executing extremely well on a clearly defined track and has successfully pulled waves of new users toward Web3. But Rolland challenged us to look beneath the surface. While these projects shine within specific verticals, very few are building a persistent network of real people and real relationships.  UXLINK operates precisely in this overlooked layer, not as a spotlight application, but as the foundation beneath the ecosystem. From my perspective as the host, this was the first key insight: UXLINK is not competing for attention; it is competing to become indispensable. To explain this difference, Rolland introduced an analogy that stayed with me throughout the AMA.  He described most successful applications as “track leaders”, highly optimized products designed to win within a single scenario. UXLINK, by contrast, is building the “soil.” If other projects are digging wells on their own land, UXLINK is laying the underground water network. Instead of optimizing for one product form, UXLINK focuses on connecting real users, verifying social relationships, and creating a reusable growth layer that any project can build upon.  Tracks may change over time, but soil compounds. One of the most important moments of the AMA came when Rolland reframed UXLINK’s core mission.  Most Web3 projects ask, “How do we grow faster?” UXLINK asks a very different question: “How do we make the entire industry grow more easily?” That distinction explains why UXLINK doesn’t always look flashy during short-term market cycles. Infrastructure rarely does.  But once established, it becomes extremely difficult to replace.  From a host’s perspective, this also clarifies why UXLINK may be systematically undervalued, its value shows up in what others are able to launch, scale, and sustain because of it. Rolland then broke down UXLINK’s long-term value into four deep moats, and hearing them explained together made it clear why the project sits in a category of its own. First is the real social graph. In an industry filled with bots, scripts, and artificial activity, UXLINK insists on doing the hardest thing: connecting real people through acquaintance-based social networks.  This approach has enabled the genuine migration of tens of millions of Web2 users into Web3. Real relationships are an asset that cannot be fabricated or gamed. Second is OAOG, UXLINK’s cold-start engine. OAOG is not a marketing slogan but a precision-operated growth system.  By combining social trust, verifiable relationships, and fission mechanisms, it allows projects to bootstrap real communities across chains, regions, and markets, breaking the traditional cold-start curse in Web3.

Very welcome recent news from Signal: they are working on letting you register an account without a phone number. That said, an important counterpoint about what this would and would not accomplish. The good #1#: reducing dependence on phone numbers. Even aside from privacy benefits, reducing dependency on a highly oligopolistic system of chokepoints is good in itself. The good #2#: phone numbers are for many people not a good "root" of identity from an access control perspective. Phone numbers get sim swapped all the time. The good #3#: allowing phone-number-free accounts will make it harder for them in the future to discriminate against people by country - and so make it harder for governments to pressure them to block their own citizens. Now, on privacy. Significantly better than status quo, so yes it is good #4#, but... In practice, in 2026, I believe that pseudonymity (a long-term persistent account that is not tied to your primary identity) is a dead concept. There are just too many channels by which we accidentally slowly leak data about who we are - timing of messages, the pattern of who we send messages to with what frequency, size, etc. And too many highly effective AI-based means (both using LLMs per-user, and LLMs helping every person and agency under the sun use math that we had all along) to uncover and piece together those hints. As a trivial example, whatever server you interact with learns your IP address, but even if you hide *that* with a VPN or Tor, there are many other identity leakage vectors. And so the only defensible form of privacy is *message-by-message unlinkability* - no one except sender and receiver knows the (sender, receiver) pair, ideally even not knowing who the sender or the receiver are. A natural taxonomy of privacy is the following 2x2: * Sitting duck: adversary knows "X did Y" * Confidentiality: adversary knows "X did ???" [E2E encryption provides this] * Anonymity: adversary knows "??? did Y" [aka message-by-message unlinkability] * Ideal: adversary knows "??? did ???" Signal has already had confidentiality for a long time. (Note: in other contexts, "confidentiality" sometimes means "someone knows X did Y, and we trust that someone to not reveal it", ie. not true privacy. Here, by confidentiality we mean hiding contents from third parties) This adds pseudonymity: in the above schema, adversary knows "0x8b512c... did Y", where they don't initially know who 0x8b512c... is, but may figure that out over time. The ideal is getting to message-by-message unlinkability. Actually accomplishing that gets into territory that is currently being explored by mixnet projects as well as newer messengers, eg. @session_app and @SimpleXChat. Once we get deeper into this territory, I suspect the primary frontier will be spam and DoS protection. Right now, much of the internet blocks all Tor exit nodes - not because they personally hate privacy, but because that's where DoS attacks come from. So we need ways for people to prove their non-spammer status while maintaining message-by-message unlinkability. See here for one direction (which complements nicely). So I hope that we appreciate the victory that is mainstreaming of end-to-end encryption, that we actually get Signal accounts without phone number dependency (it's a great thing even if it had zero privacy consequences), and then that we keep moving forward and pushing the frontier of data leakage minimization.

SpaceX has introduced a new website for its next-generation @Starlink V3 satellites, along with new information about the satellite. • 1 Tbps downlink capacity (~10× higher than Starlink V2). • 160 Gbps uplink capacity (~22× higher than Starlink V2). • 2,048 downlink beams + 2,048 uplink beams (vs. 192 downlink/144 uplink beams on V2). • Upgraded phased array antennas enable the increased user capacity and beam count. • New SpaceX-designed beamformer chips power the phased arrays. • Modem chips handle ~64× more throughput per chip, allowing more efficient simultaneous service and real-time beam allocation based on demand. • Each satellite includes 6 high-capacity 400 Gbps laser links, enabling a redundant petabit-scale laser mesh network for global routing. • Each satellite also has 4 quad-band RF backhaul antennas operating across Ka, E, V, and W bands. • RF backhaul capacity increases to 1.2 Tbps (>8× Starlink V2). • Backhaul uplink supports 60 GHz of spectrum across frequencies and polarizations (4.3× more than V2). • New solar arrays generate ~2× the power of the V2 satellite arrays. • Solar arrays are manufactured using a continuous roll of solar blanket, cut into 19-meter sections, with 4 sections stitched together per array. • Solar arrays are optimized to reduce atmospheric drag in low Earth orbit. • A Starship launch carrying V3 satellites will deploy ~20× more network capacity than a Falcon 9 launch carrying V2 satellites. • V3 technology will support future Starlink Mobile Gen 2 satellites, delivering terrestrial-like LTE speeds directly to unmodified smartphones. SpaceX has officially requested FCC approval to launch and operate a third-generation satellite constellation of 100,000 satellites, designed to power human connectivity and AI-fueled progress. "The artificial intelligence revolution promises a supersonic tsunami of progress with the capability to deliver transformative prosperity to billions and carry the light of human consciousness far into the future. The Gen3 system will include 100,000 satellites operating in very-low-Earth-orbit to deliver extremely low-latency and multi-gigabit symmetrical throughput for consumers, enterprises, and government users and billions of Al-powered devices around the world. To achieve this ambitious goal, the Gen3 system will put new spectrum and sharing frameworks to work for American consumers. Al requires massive uplink capacity to support high-definition." The Gen3 system will consist of 100,000 satellites, configured in two bands of thin, closely stacked operational shells with nominal altitudes between 323 and 327.5 kilometers and 473 and 477.5 kilometers. SpaceX seeks flexibility to operate its Gen3 system with inclinations ranging from 26 degrees to 96.9 degrees (sun-synchronous orbit) to optimize coverage consistent with evolving demand. This new filing is separate from SpaceX's previous application to operate a constellation of up to 1 million AI satellites. They are two distinct constellations.
