A delegation from Hong Kong 🤝 visited Jiangdu district in Yangzhou on Aug 7. Jiangdu, located east of Yangzhou, has been dubbed "Longchuan" for being "home to many rivers and lakes in the Jianghuai Region", and it is the starting point of the Eastern Route of China's South-to-North Water Diversion. The district has a total area of 1,330 square kilometers, and is home to leading industries such as automobiles and auto parts, special steel for ships, mechatronics, and pharmaceutical chemicals. It has ranked among China's top 100 districts with high-quality development and top 100 industrial districts for many consecutive years. A media delegation from Latin America and the Caribbean visited Yangzhou from July 2 to 3. The group, which included journalists and online content creators from Brazil, Panama, Bolivia, and other countries, toured the China Grand Canal Museum, enjoyed a nighttime open-air performance along the ancient Grand Canal, visited the Yangzhou Industrial and Sci-Tech Innovation Lounge and FAMSUN Group, and took part in the 2026 Latin America and the Caribbean Day and Conference on Cooperation Between Jiangsu (Yangzhou) and Latin American and the Caribbean Countries.
