Upholding the Spirit of Seva, Strengthening the Wari!
Delighted to be at the closing ceremony of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department's 'Nirmal Wari' and the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Cell's 'Charan Seva' initiative in Pandharpur, today.
The Wari is a centuries-old tradition that has continued uninterrupted, enduring every challenge. It is our duty to ensure that every Warkari is provided with the best possible facilities and services.
The Palkhi halt villages and Pandharpur often faced sanitation and hygiene challenges after the Wari. Since its launch in 2016, the Nirmal Wari initiative has transformed the Wari through significant improvements in sanitation and overall management, led by the Rural Development Department.
Every Warkari accompanying the Palkhis of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj is regarded as a reflection of Mauli. Guided by this spirit, 5000 mobile toilets, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities and German hangers were provided. The Chief Minister's Relief Cell also organised foot care and essential medical services with the support of dedicated doctors, volunteers and Swachhata Doots.
The Wari was efficiently managed across 14 districts, with Warkaris expressing satisfaction with the arrangements. The Chandrabhaga riverfront and the Pandharpur riverbed were cleaned, ensuring the town remained clean despite the arrival of 30–35 lakh Warkaris, while sustainable measures have been put in place to maintain cleanliness even after the Wari.
I sincerely appreciate the administrative officials, police personnel, Swachhata Doots, volunteers and artists for their dedicated efforts in successfully implementing the Nirmal Wari initiative and raising public awareness through various art forms.

A New Push for Maharashtra's Sustainable Development Goals!
Chaired a review meeting on Maharashtra's progress in the NITI Aayog Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) India Index as part of the Social Sector War Room in Mumbai, today.
Directed every department to adopt department-wise, outcome-based planning over the next four years to ensure Maharashtra secures the top position in the country across all SDG indicators. With the next four years being crucial to achieving the 2030 SDG targets, special emphasis has been placed on accelerating development in 10 aspirational districts and 177 aspirational talukas, while aligning future budget planning with these goals.
To strengthen implementation, directed departments to study the best practices adopted by leading states, build stronger primary, secondary and real-time data collection systems, identify and address data gaps, and ensure continuous monitoring supported by timely course correction. Emphasised that governance must move beyond measuring outputs and focus on outcomes and impact, with every intervention evaluated by the measurable improvement it brings to people's lives across health, education, infrastructure and social development.
Further directed that the NITI Aayog SDG Index should serve as the guiding framework for Maharashtra's development planning. Performance on SDG indicators will be reviewed every three months, with regular monitoring, while SDG performance will become a mandatory Key Performance Indicator (KPI) in the appraisal system of government officials.

✅To provide seamless last-mile connectivity to MSRTC passengers at designated bus stands via the Bharat Taxi platform
✅To establish structured physical prepaid booths at principal transit junctions to cater to walk-in passengers
✅To advance sustainable transport paradigms via structural co-branding layouts on the City Electric Buses and long-distance MSRTC transit fleets
✅To ensure safe, affordable, and accessible transport for all commuters, including women, senior citizens and persons with disabilities
✅To enhance commuter security via tracked, cashless, app-based taxi operations, integrate digital emergency response networks and regulate dedicated taxi facilitation zones
✅To improve urban mobility in the corporation's jurisdiction through safe, organised, app-based and cashless taxi services
✅To enhance first-mile and last-mile connectivity at public transport hubs and high-footfall civic locations; promote green and electric mobility and support TMC, NMMC, MCGM's Smart City and digital governance initiatives
✅To outline the strategic partnership between the Parties for the commercial rollout and day-to-day management of the ‘Bharat Taxi’ platform within the precinct of NMIA

✅ MSRTC प्रवाशांसाठी प्रथम टप्प्यातील (First-mile) आणि अंतिम टप्प्यातील (Last-mile) प्रवास अधिक सुलभ करणे, बसस्थानकांवर प्रीपेड टॅक्सी व्यवस्था उपलब्ध करून प्रवाशांचा प्रवास अधिक सोयीस्कर बनवणे तसेच महाराष्ट्रात एकात्मिक, शाश्वत आणि पर्यावरणपूरक शहरी वाहतूक व्यवस्थेला चालना देणे
✅ भारत टॅक्सी प्लॅटफॉर्मच्या माध्यमातून निश्चित MSRTC बसस्थानकांवर प्रवाशांना अखंड लास्ट-माईल कनेक्टिव्हिटी उपलब्ध करून देणे
✅ थेट येणाऱ्या प्रवाशांची सोय करण्यासाठी प्रमुख वाहतूक केंद्रांवर सुव्यवस्थित आणि कायमस्वरूपी 'प्रीपेड' बुथ्स उभारणे.
✅ शहरातील इलेक्ट्रिक बसेस आणि एमएसआरटीसीच्या लांब पल्ल्याच्या बस ताफ्यावर संरचित संयुक्त ब्रँडिंगद्वारे शाश्वत वाहतूक व्यवस्थेला प्रोत्साहन देणे.
✅ महिला, ज्येष्ठ नागरिक आणि दिव्यांगांसह सर्व प्रवाशांसाठी सुरक्षित, परवडणारी आणि विश्वासार्ह टॅक्सी सेवा उपलब्ध करून देणे.
✅ ट्रॅकिंग सुविधा, कॅशलेस व ॲप-आधारित टॅक्सी सेवांद्वारे प्रवाशांच्या सुरक्षिततेला बळकटी देणे. डिजिटल आपत्कालीन प्रतिसाद प्रणालीशी समन्वय साधणे. तसेच नियोजित टॅक्सी सुविधा क्षेत्रांचे (Taxi Facilitation Zones) प्रभावी नियमन करणे.
✅ महानगरपालिकेच्या क्षेत्रात सुरक्षित, नियोजित, ॲप-आधारित आणि कॅशलेस टॅक्सी सेवांद्वारे शहरी वाहतूक व्यवस्था अधिक सक्षम करणे.

Delighted to flag off the Bharat Taxi Service at Navi Mumbai International Airport today.
As a significant milestone, Bharat Taxi has been launched in Maharashtra, following its successful rollout in Delhi and Gujarat. Under the visionary leadership of Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji and the guidance of Hon Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amitbhai Shah, this initiative strengthens the cooperative movement through technology, transparency and employment generation.
Digital technology has changed the way people travel, making transportation easier, more convenient and accessible. Bharat Taxi is more than just an app-based service. It empowers drivers through the cooperative model, creates sustainable employment and provides citizens with safe, reliable and convenient transportation.
Pleased that the MoUs signed today will turn this vision into real opportunities. The MoU signed with the D. B. Patil organisation is especially significant, as it will help nearly 3000 to 4000 families residing near the Navi Mumbai International Airport secure bank-financed taxis and earn sustainable livelihoods through the Bharat Taxi platform.
Bharat Taxi envisions strengthening Maharashtra's cooperative movement, creating dignified employment and ensuring safe, accessible travel for all. It is a meaningful step towards empowering communities and creating new opportunities.
